This morning I moved… well… dragged 24 orange garbage bags of leaves to the end of our driveway. Today was “leaf pickup day” and in the bags were this past summer’s shade from our maple, chestnut and apple trees. And a beautiful shade it was. And… as I stood looking at the remains of those days, the rays of the sun moved to hit our oak tree, the same oak tree that hangs onto its leaves until after the snow falls and has piled up “for good”.
