I rarely know where my images come from. I know that something tugs or sparks or pushes me. And I sit down to find out what it is. And I keep going. Until I stop with a “That’s it.” And, even then, I rarely know what “it” is. But the tug stops. And I can sit back.

“Kiteman” comes from a couple of photographs taken recently of a mobile — made out of tissue paper, wire and lots of acrylic medium — of a man hanging onto a kite. I have had this mobile for about 15 years now and this man, so hanging on, air born, made of colour and light and air inspires me. Still.

So… here then is the newest “Kiteman”, coming now from I don’t know where and I’m not sure why…
